The control panel face for the Pana Switching Area has been painted, masked, repainted, and the mask stripped.

One hole has already been drilled, but a bunch more will need to be done.

Surrounding the panel are the track drawings and panel drawings that led up to this bit of construction.

The Pana control panel has been constructed and installed.

The panel face is much simpler than the yard panel faces, but the construction method is the same. All of the controls and LEDs have been installed and will be wired up as the track they control is constructed. The yellow and red LEDs that are located above some of the track are for the train detectors (IRDOT's) that have been and will be installed on hidden track.

The Pana industrial area has been constructed. This arc of tracks will be the home for several of the industries that were actually located in various parts of the town of Pana, Illinois.

Next this switching area will be wired for power and will have a few switch machines installed.

The Pana industrial area has been wired up and connected to the control panel.

Cars may be stored here now to alleviate the crowding in the Mainline Yard.

A new track has been laid for a new industry in Pana.

Acquisition of a group of Narrow Gauge single and double deck stock cars necessitates addition of a new industry to Pana -- A Livestock Interchange Company. Narrow gauge stock cars bringing cattle, hogs, sheep, and perhaps a horse or two, from Pawnee Yard will unload the livestock here. Standard gauge stock cars will load the animals and carry them to the Meat Packing Company for conversion into roasts, steaks, chops, and lots of hamburger.

The Pana Livestock Interchange has been constructed.

A few people are needed to complete the scene, but the cattle, sheep, and hogs are awaiting transportation to their fate at the Meat Packing Company.

From left to right can be seen the small office building where the paperwork is done and additional cattle are accepted from local farmers for transport to the Meat Packing Company; a group of three stock pens used to hold cattle awaiting forwarding on the standard gauge road; a pair of loading/unloading ramps for the narrow gauge and standard gauge stock cars, along with three pens used to stage the animals as they arrive on the narrow gauge road; a couple of pens for smaller animals, sheep on the left and hogs (with the manditory protection from the sun) on the right; a storage building holding supplies of grain, feed, hay, and straw for the animals, delivered by box cars or flat cars.
